Intizar Husain is one of the great and significant fiction writers of modern day Urdu literature. He has employed symbolic and historical notions in his writing. Since Intizar Sahib is well aware of political, social and economic changes, he has interwoven his fiction around these issues implicitly or explicitly. He has also written on historical incidents, experience of migration and its consequence on nature of migrants and fall of Dhaka etc. The article discusses all these issues in light of Intizar Husain's writings with special focus on his political insightness.
