A rare and important Persian historical source MIRĀT-E-DAULAT-E-ABBASI by Lala Daulat Rai Gehī is first political history of Bahawalpur State. It was written on the wish of Navvab Muḥammad Bahawal Khan II. The book covers history of erstwhile Bahawalpur State, people, works and important events of the period of the said Navvab. It is commonly believed that this book is the first available historical and important document on that period. The article briefly introduces this rare document MIRĀT-I DAULAT-I ABBASI on the History of Bahawalpur.
