Jamil Yousaf is a renowned poet of Pakistan. He has many poetical anthologies on his credit which, inter alia, include Mauj e Sada, Gureezan, Ghazal and Shehr e Guman. He has a lucid style of writing in his critical essays which have been compiled in two books entitled Adbi Mazameen and Batain Kuch Adbi Kuch Be Adbi Ki. He is also a traveller and distinguished historian. His important books on Indo Pakistan history include Babar Se Zafar Tak, Musalmanonki Tareekh Aik Jaeza and Sir Syed Ahmad Khan. His poetry is full of aesthetics. He has an insightful attitude towards life and its details which may be called romantic. Beauty and aesthetics are reflected in abundance from his diction and style.
