Abstract
Just like other parts of the world the sub-continental woman was considered inferior to man. Although in colonial time, awareness took place amongst sub-continental women through European Missionaries and female activists. As a result, women got educated and came forth for holding various positions in society, and yet they enabled themselves to raise their voices for their rights. While striving for raising their voices for their rights, beside other activities they also used medium of literature. This article sheds light on the language and literature of sub continental women under the colonial influence.
