Globalization- a postmodern phenomenon-is considered to be one of the most influential phenomena in recent times. In the present age industry, trade, politics, education, business, communication, intelligence, information, and almost all fields of life are highly influenced by Globalization. Most of the world languages are affected by this phenomenon and it has brought many transformations, especially in literature and language by means of content and form. Contemporary Urdu short story is also greatly influenced by Globalization in terms of idea, form, topic, technique and expression. The article focuses on the influence of Globalization on Urdu’s short story.
