Abstract
The art of oratory played a vital role in the political, social, ideological and cultural awareness of the Muslim of the Subcontinent. Sir Syed, Hali, Shibli, Mohsin-ul-Malik, Nazir Ahmad, Iqbal and Azad all were excellent in oratory. The Ali Garh Movement set a platform to sustain Muslim unity and oratory contributed a lot to broaden this platform. Resultantly, the Muslim could fight their battle fully well having realized their national political needs. It’s why the history of the Subcontinent would have been incomplete without the reference of elocutions.The paper explores the role of Ali Garh Movement in creating literary, political, social, moral and economic awareness through elocutions.
