Abstract

Folk poetry of Bulleh Shah is a creative expression of a mystic’s spiritual evolution whose ultimate destination is Divine Presence. He achieved the stages of self-annihilation and self-subsistence with utmost Divine love and intuitive realization of knowledge inherent in God. Metaphysical facts bestowed by gnosis, reflects the Divine unity among all beings of the world perfectly manifested in human self. Bulleh Shah expresses universal brotherhood, love, tolerance and peaceful coexistence through his Sufi metaphysical thoughts. These universal human values help to broaden the meanings of life and existence.
