Abstract
Although the experiments in the form of Urdu ghazal came to the fore in the second half of the twentieth century, its semantic and aesthetic forms have been making appearances from the very beginning. Since the time of Wali Deccani to the present age, attempts have also been made to change the internal disposition of ghazal at the level of themes and styles without disturbing its form. Furthermore, experiments of internal nature were also carried out to bring it closer to other genres while keeping the form of ghazal intact.
