Abstract

Faiz Ahmad Faiz is a very well-known progressive poet of our recent past history. He raised his voices in the favor of oppressed classes all through his age. Many poems can be recalled in this regard. Wa Yabqa Wajhu Rabbika is a very famous poem of him. Faiz predicts in this poem about the future and gives hope to the masses that the promised day is very near when the masses will rule himself and the merciless and unkind regime will be razed. This article firstly discusses the background in which this poem was written and then presents a detailed analytical study.
