There are number of books whose writers are anonymous. Hazaar Hikayat-e Sufiyan is such a Persian manuscript whose writer is not known. There is no information about its writer or the period when it was written. One of its copies is available with Qaraman library, Istanbul-Turkiye. Renowned Iranian scholar Iraj Afshar introduced this manuscript after its due editing and annotation in 2003. This manuscript contains valuable information about Sufis of second and third century al-Hijra. Moreover, it is also considered to be one of the main sources of Syed Ali Hujveri’s Kashful Mahjub.
